Some free puzzle games for the weekend!

OK, the crazy week is over. Finally.

I was going through the price drops to FREE and found some puzzle games to try out (really, do I NEED more? no... LOL!!). I have NOT played any of these yet - in fact, something keeps mucking up my iTunes connection and I can't download from my computer. Hmmm, someone is trying to save me money???

Ohhh, I see that the iTunes links are now using the iTunes Application Preview - instead of that annoying transfer link, it will open the page up in your browser if you have iTunes installed (at least, I think that is what I read at 3am yesterday).

First up, An OnTarget Game by Nth Fusion.
Strain your brain on this magic square variation! OnTarget presents you with a grid of arrows pointing in different directions.
Rotate the arrows so the correct number are pointing at each target. Sound easy?
It's harder than you think.

Next, Swizzle by Primitive Dog
Swizzle is an original puzzle game with up to 10,000 unique solvable puzzles for each level...and there are 6 levels!
Initially resembling "15", the slider puzzle, SWIZZLE takes the idea much further. Tiles don't just slide, they flip in rows, columns AND diagonals, revealing the numbered reverse of the tiles, and with Diagonal flipping, tiles can lie sideways and even upside down.
Starting with the beginner 2x2 grid, numbered 1-4 on the front, and 5-8 on the reverse, the tiles are flipped automatically making the challenge to return the tiles to the original numerical order in the lease number of moves.
Each Puzzle can be individually selected using simple spin controls and the best score (lowest moves to complete) are recorded and displayed for each.
As you improve, and learn new techniques, you can return and replay any puzzle again and again to try to improve your score.

Next, 25 Boxes by Platina Games
25 Boxes will put your brain and your peripheral vision to the test. Search for numbers, letters or symbols and point at the box in the opposing grid where they fit. To use your peripheral vision, try to keep your eyes focused on the grid that is filled. The game consist of 25 levels, levels 20 to 25 are a bit harder because the input grid is turned or mirrored. To get a good score, you have to be fast and make no errors. For every error that you make, you will lose 1000 points. If you don’t finish the level before the time runs out, the game will end.

I guess that is probably enough brain taxing for the day!! I'll be back later :D
